GIFTS OF LOVE, HOPE AND FAITH

“Do je, dhanyavaad,Terima Kasih, Gamsahamnida, Gracias, Ca'm on, Xie Xie, Salamat”

These are the different languages of the word “THANK YOU”. A word that humbles a person because you have touched, and fulfilled a spot in his life that is empty or lacking.

I was reviewing the testimonials of people about Operation Christmas Child by Samaritan purse. I came across a testimony in Spanish. I could not understand what was stated but while reading and trying to finish one sentence, my heartbeat started to beat so fast and as if I was seeing a child receiving a “shoe box”. A child who was so excited to see the contents of the box. As one of the witnesses described, “suddenly there was village transformed …full of happy sounds of children laughing AND PARENTS WEEPING WITH GRATITUDE”.

We do not know who will receive the 488 boxes that you have given through the Jesus Is Lord Church - British Columbia iCare Ministry. But one thing is for sure…. There’s so much joy in the hearts of the recipients.

Why? Because:

1. You have given a gift of love to a child that may have not felt loved before.
2. You have given a gift of hope, not only to the child but also to the parents. For they realize that someone out there cares and gives unconditionally.
3. You have given a gift of faith. As our mission statement states “to bring all peoples to the kingdom of the Living God regardless of race, color, nationality and religious affiliation through the saving, healing and delivering knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ”.
We may not be able to travel to India, Thailand, Kosovo, China, Indonesia, and Central America or even to the Philippines to share the love of God. But through the 488 Christmas Shoe boxes that we have donated, it can definitely touch a child’s heart and give hope to the whole family that can transform one’s life because of your generosity.

This success will not happen without your faithful support.

Once again, thank you JIL BC for your generosity. Thank you iCare Heads for all your efforts.

GRACIAS JIL BRITISH COLUMBIA FOR THE 488 BOXES OF YOUR GENEROSITY!!!

Why Go To Church?

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday.. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor.

It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals But I do know this. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today.

JIL BC ICARE- CLIMB ATHON PROJECT

“CLIMB A THON PROJECT at Grouse Grind, June 6, 2009
(Giving school backpacks and school supplies for the needy children)

From the time I accepted this challenge to take this post as iCARE head for BC. Questions such as who will help me? How can I fulfill this new challenge with excellence? Are few of my questions that were answered on the day of Climb a Thon project at Grouse Grind? For I have proven that this event become successful NOT because of one person BUT because of UNITY of all JIL BC’s pastors/coordinators, leaders, workers, and congregation. Therefore I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for all your contributions (known or unknown). With your hands, feet, talents and of course your pledge we CONQUER GROUSE MOUNTAIN. PRAISE THE LORD, GIVE GOD THE GLORY!!!!!

One Sunday, the preacher in Newton Church mentioned a story of a man that gave his tithes and offering to the Lord and stated “Lord I want to see this offering in heaven”. As soon as he mentioned that I was reminded of a song that talks exactly about this man’s proposal to the Lord. And this song is “THANK YOU FOR GIVING TO THE LORD”. I have inserted and paraphrase some lines

THANK YOU FOR GIVING TO THE LORD
By Ray Boltz

I dreamed I went to Heaven, you were there with me.
We walked upon the streets of gold beside the Crystal Sea.
We heard the angels singing, and then someone called your name.
You turned and saw this young man, and he was smiling as he came.
He said, "Friend you may not know me now," and then he said,
"But wait -You pledge during CLIM A THON, when I was only eight.
I learned how to say a prayer before the class would start. And one day said a prayer, I asked Jesus in my heart."
Chorus
Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am so glad you gave.

Then another man stood before you, he said
"Remember the time, A missionary came to your church,
His pictures made you cry.You didn't have much money
but you gave it anyway.Jesus took that gift you gave
And that's why I'm in Heaven today"

Chorus
Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am so glad you gave.

One by one they came, far as your eyes could see.
Each life somehow touched by your generosity.
Little things that you had done, sacrifices that you made,
They were unnoticed on this earthIn Heaven now proclaimed.

Chorus
Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am so glad you gave.

And I know up in Heaven you're not supposed to cry
But I am almost sure there were tears in your eyes
As Jesus took your hand and you stood before the Lord
He said "My child look around you Great is your reward.”

“MY SON LOOK AROUND YOU GREAT IS YOUR REWARD”,These are the words awaits you when you come face to face with our God.

I also would like to congratulate all winners.
To all climbers, THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

JIL ALBERTA WIN SUMMIT

The Jesus Is Lord Warriors and Intercessors Network (WIN) was empowered through the first ever JIL Alberta WIN Summit held last May 23, 2009 at Koinonia Christian Church, Red Deer Alberta.

It was an overwhelming 270 participants who accepted the invitation to be warriors and intercessors for Christ. The WIN ministry is a very significant part of every Jesus Is Lord Church (JIL). It is the church’s backbone. The fortitude that holds up the church. It believes in winning the battle through kneeling down and praying to the Lord.

The first WIN Summit themed, “Sending Warriors for Conquest“ was part of the JIL Canada’s program. It aimed to transform JIL Canada congregation into an effective, well-equipped, prepared and knowledgeable prayer warriors. Further, it also aspires to equip JIL WIN members on all aspects of spiritual warfare through preaching and/or conducting trainings.

Perceiving a victorious church that equips and mobilizes prayer warriors in fulfilling God’s glorious mandate to the Philippines and to the world, the WIN sets forth to demolish all plans and whilst of satan, through the living God by prayer of intercession and warfare and to transform all believers to be passionate, prophetic, and patriotic prayer warriors in winning the world for Christ.

The summit was a transforming experience for those who attended.

Even there are many hindrances in gaining territories, they were encouraged to press on to the territories promised by God.The Lord will bring about signs, wonders and miracles in their lives transforming them from nobody to somebody. On the other hand, the congregation was warned of the pitfalls of a warrior and that staying close to God, to the Word, to one another and walking in holiness and purity and seeking the Lord daily are the only ways to be shielded from the pitfalls.

Later in the afternoon, having known all these, the Pastors prayed prophetically for the Philippines, Canada, Israel, including Alberta and all the provinces of Canada. The banners symbolizing the different JIL Churches were also prayed over.

The anointing of oil was indeed a remarkable part of the event. The whole place was saturated by the Holy Spirit. His presence was felt. The warriors and intercessors were empowered.

There were so many who responded to the call. Surely, the best from the Lord is yet to come. JIL Canada will pursue to strengthen the WIN ministry even more through WIN camps and training throughout the year.

With the victorious result and the multitude of attendees from the different JIL Churches in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Jasper, Fort Mcmurray, Banff, Strathmore, and High River, there is no doubt that WIN has accomplished it’s central task to raise up passionate, prophetic, and patriotic prayer warriors and intercessors in every JIL Church.

Area 3 Encounter Retreat Testimony

I am so grateful and thankful for the work that God has done in my life during the Encounter Retreat on April 18 & 19 of 2009.

My teenage life was filled with painful memories. I left my parents at the age of 13 to migrate in Canada. In order for me to migrate, I had to be adopted by my mom’s sister.

Being absent from home, I was hoping that my Aunts and Uncles would love me as much as my parents did or perhaps more but my expectations of love failed. Instead, I’ve experienced resentment, rejection and rebellion during my teenage life. Anything I did was not good enough because I was always compared by another member of the family. Simple things I wanted were rarely granted.

All along I thought my painful memories were over because as I got older I learned to build a healthier relationship with them. Little did I know my agonies were still living in me and it was during the “Inner Healing” session where God brought me back to my past? As I closed my eyes to pray, God all of a sudden revealed a little boy reaching out his hands towards me. It was my oldest son reaching out for love. I didn’t realize I was treating him the way I was treated. I love my son dearly however my role as a mother was not sufficient enough. I was so hard on him and I was always on his case even with the smallest thing that didn’t matter in life. At that moment, God spoke to me and said “Surrender all your pains and sufferings & start building a more loving relationship with your son”. Right there and then, my entire burdens were taken away and this is by far the best ride of my life because God not only freed me from all my distress but completely healed my inner being.

Towards the end of the sessions I once again felt the presence of the Lord. God placed his hand on my right shoulder. His hand was so light and gentle as if a bag of feathers were resting on my shoulder. I felt renewed, revived and bursting of His love and it was the most amazing indescribable feeling I have ever experienced.

As promised, my life is utterly surrendered to God and it is now my turn to bless the Lord. In the book of Joshua 24:15 it says, “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord”. To God be the glory.

THE ALMOND BRANCH OF HOPE

Easter Message of Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva
12 April 2009

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, You have seen well: for I am ready to perform My word” Jeremiah 1:11-12

Resurrection always brings a message of hope. There is nothing more hope-boosting than knowing that the dead, yes the DEAD, may rise again!

The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is the single redemptive event that perfected mankind’s salvation and deliverance from sin, at the same time proving that faith in Him that holds the indisputable power over death is not useless.

Jesus, the Son of God, had to taste death to give His sinless life as a sacrifice for all the transgressions of mankind (Isaiah 53: 3-6; Hebrews 2:9). When He cried out on the cross: “It is finished!” (John 19:30) every requirement for the forgiveness of the sin of every man, under the Law and the Commandments, was satisfied! Every work needed to be done to set man free from the dominion of the evil one was indeed finished!

The Lord Jesus was the Lamb of God who, by His sacrifice on the Cross, had taken away the sins of the world. The Heavenly Father proved to all that Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross was accepted as payment for man’s debt when He raised Him from the dead after three days of being in the grave. Because of the resurrection, those who have received Jesus as their Savior and Lord are now assured of eternal life, and just like Him, will also experience their own bodily resurrection (I Corinthians 15:12-22)!

The resurrection was also the message of God to Israel in the time of the prophets. Every time the Israelites were chastised by God because of their collective sin and backsliding from their covenant with God, the Lord raised up prophets to bring His message of restoration to their nation. One such prophet was Jeremiah.

In the beginning of God’s call to Jeremiah, the young prophet, the Lord showed him a vision. It was the vision of an almond branch (Jeremiah1:10-12). The almond tree in Israel is the very first tree that awakens to life after the long winter season. It is the very first tree that would burst forth with beautiful white flowers in the early spring while the rest of the trees are still barren and sleeping. It is a symbol of the powerful phenomenon: The Resurrection!

God was saying to the prophet Jeremiah: “Even if Israel, My very own nation, dies because of My discipline and judgment, I can raise her back to life again and restore her glory among the nations!” The Lord told Jeremiah that the vision of the almond branch spoke of His willingness to fulfill all His promises to Israel if they would return to Him with all their hearts and walk in obedience to His will and purposes (Jeremiah 3:12-22), and that it was for the sake of the glory of His name that He was going to do this (Ezekiel 36:21-23). Israel was a nation covenanted with God bearing the name of Jehovah, the eternal, self-existent God of covenants.

The Philippines today needs to experience the power of the Resurrection! Like the nation of Israel, we are also a nation that bears the glory of the name of Christ! Being the first and only Christian nation in the Far East, we are today dying in shame and reproach being known today as the most corrupt country in Asia. From being one of the most prosperous countries in the region in the 1940’2 up to 1960’s, we have sunk to our destitute state today. Many of our people are going out of the country just to find jobs. In the time of relative global prosperity, we are among the hungriest in the world. Unprecedented moral and spiritual degradation, especially in places of authority, has brought our people closer and closer to the grave. Systemic corruption is all over the land.

Is there hope? Because of the Resurrection, I dare say, yes there is hope! Like Jeremiah, we must receive a vision of the almond branch!

The Philippines in fact was first named “Archipelago of Saint Lazarus” before it was named the Philippines. This could be a prophetic pronouncement; that this nation would be resurrected in due time, because Lazarus, the closest friend of Jesus for whom He wept when he died, was raised from the dead by Jesus Himself. Jesus prayed to the Father that life would return to the body of Lazarus which had been dead for four days. Everybody was mourning for Lazarus and had given up hope until the voice of the Lord Jesus broke the silence of the grave with the loud shout of command: “Lazarus come forth!” (John 11:43).

Lazarus rose back to life! He was released from the burial clothes (representing murderous, hindering works of the Enemy like poverty, chaos, rampant sinfulness, among others) that bound him hand and foot by a simple command the Lord gave: “Loosen him!” (John 11:44).

As we celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, let us fill our hearts with the message of hope for ourselves, our people, and nation! Let us look unto the Lord Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the One who holds the keys of death and hell (Revelation 1:18). Because Jesus has risen, the Philippines, the Archipelago of Saint Lazarus will also rise! Let us not lose sight of the vision of the almond branch, the vision of hope in the worst of situations!

Let every God-fearing and nation-loving Filipino believe God for our nation’s resurrection! Let it be said, the Philippines will RISE and be great again!

BABANGON NA ANG BAGONG PILIPINAS!

RATIONALE OF JESUS’ COMING

Jesus Christ came;
  1. To fulfill prophecy. "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." (Genesis 3:15)
  2. To become the Lamb of God "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth." (Isaiah 53:7)
  3. To fulfill the law and its requirement. "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill . . . not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished" (Matthew 5:17-18).
  4. To reveal the Father. "Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him" (Matthew 11:27).
  5. To save the lost. "For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost" (Matthew 18:11).
  6. To give His life as a ransom. "Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28).
  7. To serve. "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve" (Mark 10:45).
  8. To preach the gospel. "But He said to them, 'I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose'" (Luke 4:43).
  9. To bring fire. "I have come to bring fire to the earth" (Luke 12:49). "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire . . . He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:11-12).
  10. To send a sword. "Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! No, I came to bring a sword. I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be right in your own household" (Matthew 10:34-36).
  11. To seek the lost. "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10).
  12. To bring judgment. "And Jesus said, 'For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind'" (John 9:39).
  13. To give men life and to have an abundant life. "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10b).
  14. To do His father's will. John 14:31 but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me.
  15. To be king. "Therefore Pilate said to Him, 'So You are a king?' Jesus answered, 'You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world'" (John 18:37).
  16. To bear witness to the truth. "For this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice" (John 18:37).
  17. To save sinners. "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" (I Timothy 1:15).
  18. To redeem and purify a people for his very own. "who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good." (Titus 2:14)
  • To be a faithful high priest. "That He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God" (Hebrews 2:17).
  • To do the will of God. "Then He added, 'Look, I have come to do Your will'" (Hebrews 10:9).
  • To provide a new standard for holy living. "Since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps" (I Peter 2:21).
  • To bear our sins. "He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross" (I Peter 2:24).
  • To bring humanity back to God. "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit" (1 Peter 3:18)
  • To take away sin. "You know that He appeared in order to take away sins" (I John 3:5).
  • To destroy the works of the devil. "The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil" (I John 3:8).

Today's Devotion- Jesus: Who is He to you

    by Pastor Bong Gonzales

    Matthew 16:15-19
15 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
17 Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
    NIV

The knowledge of who the Lord Jesus Christ is, not by the decision of the majority, nor in the level of human intellect! It is a revelation of God the Father to the person to whom it is given.

That’s why as Christians, we should not be offended on why others are saying who Jesus is opposes the word of God. For as in the days of Jesus in the human flesh, many already struggled to know who really he is. But only as the Father reveal Him, then and only then the truth of His person is known to the recipient of who Jesus is.

For God is beyond mans understanding!

The true knowledge of Him as the Christ is just the beginning of a worthy journey. That’s why those who were before us willfully gave their lives for Him when required. Jesus is the greatest knowledge to know, greatest treasure to be found, greatest friend to find and greatest saviour to serve!

That’s why even St. Paul was willing and had counted everything a dung just to know Jesus.
Every followers of Jesus must have the same passion and heart after they have known Jesus as Lord and saviour. He is more than just answering our prayer, more than a healer, a deliverer! He is the Lord God, one with the Father and the Holy Spirit!

We who have the revelation of Him must cherish and be humbled in the grace received from Him.
May we always worship and honor Him as He is!

    God bless!

    Till next time!

I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever.

You are all invited to join us in this memorable celebration of God’s everlasting covenant to His people as evidenced by His transcendent love, faithfulness and grace that have no end.

Time is 6:00 – 8:00 o’clock in the evening and it will be held at 4500 Sheppard Avenue, Unit 40, Scarborough, Ontario(between Brimley and McCowan).

    Single's Gala

Roughly about three hours ago, the JIL Y-AM Singles Gala had concluded with a loud bang. The night was indeed very special. Everyone came in with their own friends but came out with new ones. Y-Am singles from all over the JIL churches and outreached in BC had their first ever conglomeration at Radisson Hotel in Richmond.

The night was led by Masters of Ceremony, the husband and wife tandem of Sam and Jovi Binalla (who by the way not only did a spectacular job in mc'ng but also manufactured the programme for the night). We started off with ä parade by the registrants of which photos were taken. (The photos were used for "Mr. and Ms. Gala of the Night"). Pastor Raymund of JIL Outreaches opened the night with an appropriate prayer. Everyone was then welcomed by Jayson P. of Fleetwood who focused on the joy of singleness. Followed by a game called "Never say no" (collect as many bracelets as you can by making the other person say no to your question). This game was actually held through out the night. (The winner, by the way, was Jezreel of Surrey Newton.)

Then came the food (of which yours truly said grace); a mixture of vegetables, potatoes, baked salmon, and a lot of meat. I know they have names but I don't know any of them. All I know is that they were all scrumptious. As we were dining, everyone was serenaded by 3 very talented vocalists namely, Blessie L. of Newton, Robert C. of Burnaby and Eric M (with Barry B.) of Vancouver.

Another gage was employed by the MC to make certain that everyone leaves with at least one new friend. This time it was to find a person that rightly fits the description written on a piece of paper. There were at least 12 descriptions that must be satisfied. Suffice to say everyone had an interaction with at least 12 people. I believe, Robert of Burnaby garnered the prize for this one.

After a loud cheer from the crowd, the dance floor was open in search of the Gala's Dancing King and Dancing Queen. Several contenders were chosen but after a careful examination of the claps of the crowed, Eric M. of Vancouver and Mimi P. of Fleetwood took home the respective sashes. And one of the highlights of the night, was a brand new competition in any gala event that I have attended (at least for me): The Videoke Singing Contest. Thunderous roars echoed throughout the corridors of the hotel as representatives from each table were called out. (The Hotel Event Manager had to close the doors to our section.) After the dusts settled three finalist emerged, Sally B. of Burnaby (3rd), Ramon D. of Newton (2nd) and Mirasol P. of Vancouver 2 (1st).

Special awards were also given out. Mr. and Ms. Congeniality were handed to Marco S. of Vancouver and Gi L. of Fleetwood. Mr. and Ms. Gala of the night (remember the pictures?) went to Barry B. of Newton and Jaisa L. of Vancouver. And the most awaited award of the evening, "The most likely Couple of the Night", where in a gentleman and a lady were voted by the Y-Am Singles to be the most likely couple of the evening (kilig factor inserted), went to - drum roll please - ... on the other hand, just ask someone who had their March 7, 2009 marked with joy, laughter and memories that will last a lifetime.

Ptr Myra also encouraged everyone with a challenge that went like this, "If you are praying for a king, be ready to become a queen" and vice versa. The exuberant night was sealed with a closing prayer by Bro Genis, Church Coordinator of Vancouver 2.

If you are Y-Am single and missed this one extremely fun night, try not to miss out next year ok?

    P.S.

A special shout out goes to the technical dudes, namely Edmond for the sound system and Eric Mangao for them photos. To Jezreel and Gi for them sashes. God bless your hearts. And to everyone who made the said event possible, you know who you are.

    SOLI DEO GLORIA.

    JIL BC Prayer Gathering

What a wonderful time it was last night to gather and give thanks to our Father who provides all blessings and favour to His children. The JIL BC Churches gathered in JIL Vancouver Church to take part in lifting up thanksgiving praise together as one voice. The whole time was filled with worship, praise and thanksgiving expressions for what God has done in 2008, uttered by the Pastors and Church Coordinators. From the beginning up to the end, it was filled with people with reasons to give thanks to the Father. The exhortation focused on the Fatherhood of God and how we need to come as His children acknowledging every form of answers to prayers and blessings. Altogether, the JIL people released an abundance of thanksgiving expressions to a wonderful God.

I hope that next time; you will not miss this gathering of all JIL people from different churches every 1st Friday of the month. Make time to attend even the prayer gathering where you are as well. It is well worth your time to spend it with our Father and His people. The effects are tremendous and being felt already in lives of God’s people.

Remember that there are three major events that we take part every week – Sunday Service, cell group and prayer gathering. Every time we come together in any of these events something marvellous happens. That is why I urge you not to miss any of these events that will surelly boost your spiritual growth and development. Your faith will experience a new surge of increase when you are joined with God’s people during these activities.
Just ask anyone who came already and they will tell you that it was all worth it. And for those who came already, let us encourage others to come and be with us as we do it together as one family of God in JIL Church.

Until next time....God bless us all!

    Friday, Jan 9, 2008.
    7 PM-11 PM

Tonight we had a very special acquaintance fellowship with our beloved spiritual director Bishop Bro Eddie C. Villanueva and Sis Dory Villanueva.

Dinner was served and everybody had their fill. Pastors and Church Coordinators were seated with Bro Eddie and Sis Dory and enjoyed the Escabeche, Menudo,Chop Suey prepared by some brethren from JIL North Vancouver. The dinner was very delicious! Kudoz to the brethren from JIL Vancouver 1&2 and North Vancouver who prepared the food.

A video showcasing Bro Eddie's appearance at CBN was shown and afterwards Bro Eddie began his personalized talk. He began by informing the congregation that the Holy Spirit had changed his prepared outline.

The Spirit's moving was for the better of course! The congregation was privileged to hear Bro Eddie speak from his heart and pour out his passion for the Lord and for our beloved country, the Philippines. One could feel the activist spirit of Bro Eddie during the talk and especially during the question and answer portion.

Personally, as a young person, Bro Eddie stirred the passion in my heart to serve God and to serve my country. He showed me that there was hope for the Philippines regardless of what the current situation may appear to be. By using the story of Nehemiah, Bro Eddie exposed the reality that with the direction of the Holy Spirit, with righteous leadership present in the upper echelons of power, and with the Church alive, awake and ready to heed the Master's call for transformational ministry, revival and national renewal is at hand.

There is hope for the Philippines because there is a righteous leader in Bro Eddie! There is hope because the young people are ready to fight for change and reform and to not let the enemy usurp God's reign over every pillar of Philippine society. There is hope because Jesus is Lord!

God bless the Philippines! God bless Bro Eddie!

Marleen Ignacio's Testimony on Sunday Service Mass Anointing of Oil

This is one thing that we don't need to miss to read and at the same time praising God, bringing Him back the glory due to His Name of what he has done during the unforgetable Sunday Service. I was amazed with what she saw as Ptr. Gody was about to minister and began to anoint us with oil.
Sis. Marleen Ignacio is one of our JIL Newton Church Management Team and here is her testimony:

January 4, 2009 is another day of God’s manifestation in the life of His people. This is a great day for us; His follower as this is the day where the whole congregation will be anointed with oil. Even while Ptr. Gody is preaching and when he knelt down before God, I saw a vision at the top of the altar. There was a dove ready to fly down to the whole congregation. The revelation was clear to me; God is ready to pour out His mighty spirit among His people. He is just waiting for the perfect time. I received the infilling of the Holy Spirit through the anointing of oil ministered by our church pastor, Ptr. Gody Binalla. It was an awesome experience that I can’t do anything but kneel down and lift my hands as high as I can, surrendering my will and my life once again to my God. I felt a strong wind towards me as Ptr. Gody passed my way that I even said “whoa”. When he stand in front of me and anoint my forehead with oil, I began to feel a burning sensation from the tip of my fingers down to my shoulders and spine. My heart beat faster and I almost couldn't contain the very presence of God but I don’t want to miss out the message He has for me at that time. The word was given, “obey me and I will show you great things; things you never even thought or imagined”. My heart was pounding and my tears continue to flow from my eyes. I just could not say anything but “I will obey Lord, I will obey.”
